The production of Sheep Anti Rabies Hyper Immune Serum (SARHIS) was also started in 2009 and four batches of SARHIS have been produced to date. The titer of 1^st batch SARHIS was tested in Institute Pasture, France and was 10 IU/ml whereas that of 2nd and 3rd batches was above 4.5 IU/ml. This SARHIS was found effective for the post exposure treatment of rabies in experimental animals in the laboratory.
